Project Statement

Stripped-Down Shelters (S*D*S) are part of an on-going project to consider technologically intensive yet minimally spatialized shelters. Mechanisms, prefabricated assembly systems, and transformable componentry are all factors toward a specific and self-contained architectural entity.

SDS.05 : Storage Volume (INTERIOR CLEAR) = 9'-0" x 20'-0" x 8'-0" (1,440 cubic feet) / / / Water Catchment Pots (VARIABLE SIZE) = 10 / / / Outboard Utility Connection = Eight-Pin Connection Panel (Cable Length: VARIES )

SDS.05 is an augmentation unit that is intended as a support structure to other S*D*S models. SDS.05 AUGMENT is a single unit that that can store materials, harvest water, and connect to utilities for single/multiple user(s). It features a molded exterior hull enveloping a clear storage space, roof top water catchment rudimentations, operable end panels (with steps) for bulk access, side-panel ventilation, a self-leveling quadro-ped undercarriage with utility connections, and variable-length cabling to an 8-pin outboard utility connection. It also comes with a hazard-yellow cable guard.
